Effective Blanket Weed Support Without Harsh Chemicals

AnyPond Minerals has been developed as an enzyme and mineral-based treatment designed to support healthier pond conditions naturally.

Rather than relying on aggressive harsh chemical reactions, the formula works by helping rebalance mineral dynamics within the pond ecosystem, creating conditions where blanket weed struggles to dominate.

How To Apply

1. Fill a bucket with approximately 10 litres of pond water
2. Add the correct amount of AnyPond Minerals
3. Stir thoroughly until evenly dispersed
4. Pour around the pond in areas of good circulation
5. Keep pumps and filtration running during treatment

For best results:

• Maintain good aeration
• Remove excessive debris where possible
• Use as part of a wider ecosystem pond care routine

What To Expect After Treatment

Following application, the pond water may temporarily turn cloudy or milky white.

This is completely normal.

Due to the flocculating nature of the mineral blend:

• Fine suspended particles begin binding together
• Water clarity often improves over time
• Fine white residue may lightly coat surfaces
• Blanket weed and filamentous algae may become coated
• Filters may collect additional fine material

In many ponds, visible improvement occurs gradually over 7–14 days as the pond stabilises.

Important Notes About Pond Types

Through decades of practical field experience, AnyPond Minerals has shown the best results in closed recirculating pond systems where water and mineral conditions remain relatively stable.

Performance may vary in:

• High-flow trickle-through systems
• Leaking ponds
• Systems with excessive water exchange

This is because blanket weed growth is influenced not only by nutrients and sunlight, but also by water retention, sediment interaction, biofilm behaviour, and overall pond stability.

 

Waterfalls, Streams & Shallow Areas

Some shallow waterfalls, spillways, and exposed wet surfaces may continue to develop green biofilm or algae growth even when the wider pond improves.

These high-light, shallow-flow areas often behave differently due to:

• Intense sunlight exposure
• Rapid oxygen exchange
• Warm shallow water
• Constant wet surfaces
• Faster biological colonisation

This does not necessarily indicate treatment failure within the wider pond system.

Important Plant & Fish Guidance

However, excessive overdosing may temporarily affect:
